Long bio
Madeleine Ladore is a cellist and composer from France, now based in the United-States (Philadelphia, PA).
Cello has been her life companion ever since she was 7, but it’s only in 2020 that she made the profound decision to pursue music as her full-time vocation – after having earned a Masters degree in Physics and a PhD in musicology. Along her academic journey, she never missed a chance to perform in various amateur and semi-professional orchestras and bands, spanning genres from baroque to folk and collaborating with ensembles ranging from symphonic orchestras to Persian bands. This eclectic exposure enriched her musical palette and contributed to both classical and non-classical facets of her artistry.
Madeleine gained initial recognition by first producing multi-track cello covers of popular songs and soundtracks. She then started releasing her own compositions. She records the entirety of her music on her cello, layering 3 to 20 cello tracks to craft each piece. Utilizing extended cello techniques and her boundless imagination, she produces a rich array of sonic textures that have become her signature sound.
Her music is often described as cinematic. It’s moving and intimate, full of captivating melodies and complex harmonies. Her artistic vision draws inspiration from classical music and iconic soundtracks, with luminaries like Hans Zimmer leaving an indelible imprint on her creative journey.
Guided by the conviction that beauty has the ability to stir our souls and offer solace in the face of life’s challenges, Madeleine Ladore’s music serves as a channel for the expression of unspoken emotions. Her compositions aim to uplift hearts and warm souls, providing a profound and ineffable experience. Devoid of lyrics, her music will resonate with everyone’s personal narrative. It has the power to transport us, to guide us to uncharted territories where language fails, and unnamed sensations beckon.
